Berlin Conference
Due to the tensions of European colonies fighting for territory in Africa, 13 countries gathered in Berlin for what was known as the Berlin Conference. During the Berlin Conference, where no African leaders attended, the European countries established African country's barriers and control over their territory. European forces prevailed everywhere (other than Ethiopia, until 1930) and by 1913 most of the continent was under European control.
